A day camp for rising first through sixth grade girls

July 10 - 14, 2023
9:00am - Noon

Princeton Women's Cultural Center presents Camp Laurelwood, a fun-filled summer day camp for girls entering grades 1-6. We  have the specific aim of encouraging and developing the virtues necessary to become a positive influence with family, friends, and society. Through group activities and counselors talks, our program teaches the virtues of cheerfulness, generosity, personal responsibility, and diligence, promoting genuine femininity while helping each girl to become an authentic leader who serves others. We offer a unique five-day program of character building, arts and crafts, sporting events, games, and skits. The well-rounded, well-organized, fast-paced curriculum is run by a dedicated staff of professional women and students.

The camp experience

A day at Camp Laurelwood includes talks on a specific virtue and various points from the Catechism, games, and crafts.

Special activities take place throughout the week, such as Water Day and an end of camp show for moms and siblings.

Campers are mentored by teen counselors who act as "big sisters" and model the virtues being discussed throughout the week.

Our location

Camp Laurelwood takes place at Drexel Lodge Park in Newtown Square, which includes a pavilion, a playground, and plenty of outdoor space for girls to enjoy nature.
